Lebanon and Syria October 2025
I had the opportunity to visit Lebanon and Syria from October 12 to 17 as part of a small delegation organized by the Washington office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This trip highlighted the scale of the refugee crisis in both countries, the level of human suffering, and the consequences of the drastic reduction in funding allocated to managing this crisis, particularly by the United States. The figures are alarming.
