Baynetna is an independent collective of young Lebanese united by a strong conviction: that information can bring people together, enlighten, and rebuild.
The idea for Baynetna was born five years ago, when we met at university during a workshop on independent media.
Quickly, we envisioned a media outlet for young Lebanese people, by young people — a space capable of bringing people together and explaining. But due to a lack of resources and skills, the project remained on hold.
During those years, each of us followed our own path, learned, worked… and nurtured this idea that never left us.
Today, we finally have the experience, vision, and energy needed to bring Baynetna to life.
What began as a student project has finally become an independent information platform, designed to bring Lebanese communities closer together and build the Lebanon of tomorrow together.
Through our platform, we want to offer the youth of our beautiful country – both at home and in the diaspora – a reliable, modern space to understand our reality and imagine together a better future.
Our vision
We firmly believe that a more united Lebanon is possible.
Notre vision repose sur deux idées essentielles :
- Bringing communities closer together: building bridges between the different components of the country by sharing information based on facts, respect and transparency.
- Giving hope: envisioning solutions, valuing talents, initiatives and positive dynamics that prove that, despite the challenges and the period we are going through, a better future and a common destiny await us.
We want to help rebuild collective trust and encourage a national dialogue based on knowledge rather than division.
Our working methodology
At Baynetna, the way we work reflects our beliefs. We operate in agile and interactive mode, as close as possible to the news and our community. Our content is built in a collaborative way, by crossing perspectives, experiences and sensitivities, in order to offer rigorous, nuanced and accessible information.
We favor listening, exchange and dialogue, both within the collective and with our readers, in Lebanon and in the diaspora. Each subject is approached with independence, critical thinking and respect for plurality, taking the time to explain the issues and contextualize the facts.
Finally, our methodology is based on continuous improvement: learning, adapting, adjusting our formats and approaches to remain useful, relevant and faithful to our mission — informing with accuracy to bring people together and restore hope.
Why Baynetna?
Because baynetna, “between us,” everything becomes possible when we share common interests with enlightened knowledge and an understanding of Lebanon’s real challenges.
– Because a people who inform themselves and communicate can move forward together.
– Because the Lebanon of tomorrow begins with what we choose to understand today.
